Up at 6:30 to make an early start.
We get away at about 7:15 having filled the water tank again, to have
the maximum. The route we have
planned will not give us anywhere to get water or electricity for the next
couple of days at least.
Richard has said that the weather report is for very light winds and
settled weather. However, as we are going past a notorious headland (where the
couple we entertained last night broke their in mast reefing) I am being
cautious and have put a sea sickness patch on.
The day does start very quiet.
There is little or no wind.
The sea is flat and it is sunny.
The wind does pick up once or twice and Richard puts up some sail, but
after a few minutes it dies away again and we mainly motor. Richard has calculated that we have
enough fuel on board to motor all the way to Rhodes. Who knows, that may be necessary.
We are both a bit dozy, but Richard does stay alert enough to spot a
dolphin. He is all on his
own. He jumps behind the boat and
does 3-4 spectacular leaps in the air before he disappears. Great fun.
